Honda CR 85 R was introduced in 2003 and was produced inclusively until 2007. The motorcycle is a sports equipment for the beginner motocross rider. Very often, this modification was used to educate children and teenagers. Light weight, small wheels and a powerful 2-stroke engine set it apart from full-fledged motocross and enduro bikes.

In parallel with the regular version of the Honda CR85R, a version with reduced wheels Honda CR85RB Expert was offered (could not be used in official competitions AMA - American Motorcyclist Association of the racing class 85 cm³).
