The Kawasaki D-Tracker 125 is built on a common base with the Kawasaki KLX 125 enduro and differs from it only in wheels (road, 14 ') and front suspension (inverted fork). The motorcycle was based on a 1-cylinder 4-stroke air-cooled engine, with two valves, a volume of 124 cc, giving out just over 10 hp. power and 10 Nm of torque. Despite the archaic design of the engine, it is equipped with electronic fuel injection.
