The Yamaha ST 225 Bronco has been on the market since May 1997 and produced until 1998. The motorcycle is based on the enduro [[Yamaha_Serow_225_ (XT225) | Yamaha XT225 Serow]] and was intended primarily for the domestic Japanese market. The model also has the name - '''' Yamaha Bronco 225 '''. The main colors available are Light Reddish Yellow Solid and Light Gray Metallic. The model is distinguished by the presence of chrome parts, a round headlight and other retro-classic features.

The Yamaha Bronco 225 was based on a 1-cylinder 4-stroke air-cooled engine with a volume of 223 cc. see, giving out 20 hp. power and almost 19 Nm of torque. The motor migrated unchanged from [[Yamaha_Serow_225_ (XT225) | Yamaha XT225 Serow]].

The model features a steel frame, simple suspensions in the form of a conventional telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear, 19 'and 18' spoked wheels, chrome fenders, exhaust, headlight, dashboard, taillight and turn signals; 6-speed gearbox, 8.3 liter fuel tank and 123 kg curb weight.

The Yamaha ST 225 Bronco was produced throughout 1997, after which it was discontinued. At the time of its release, the price of the new motorcycle was 399,000 yen. Currently, the Yamaha Bronco 225 is widely available at Japanese auctions, starting at $ 2500.
