The Suzuki B-King was first introduced as a concept in 2001 and began mass production and sales in 2007. The motorcycle is based on the hyperbike model Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa, inheriting from it a slightly retuned engine and all of Suzuki's advanced racing technologies used in it. Unlike Hayabusa, the Suzuki B-King had a longer wheelbase, different injector settings, intake and exhaust systems (to boost low-end torque), and a longer rear swingarm. The front and rear suspension is not inherited from the Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa, but was developed specifically for the B-King - a front fully adjustable inverted KYB fork and a rear fully adjustable mono shock with progressive response.
Key features of the Suzuki B-King include an aluminum 2-section frame, steering damper, dual injector fuel injection (SDTV) and S-DMS engine thrust management system.
The Suzuki B-King is a 1340cc, in-line, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit producing 183.5 hp. power and 146 Nm of torque. The engine has powerful thrust from the lowest rpm and delivers maximum performance at 7000-9000 rpm.
It should be noted that the practice of building naked bikes based on powerful sports motorcycles did not come with the Suzuki B-King, but was first used by Honda in 1999, when based on the most powerful (at that time) sports tourist Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird A model city motorcycle Honda X11 was built.
