Suzuki GSF 600 Bandit hit the market in 1995. Since 1996, the model has been replenished with a modification with a front fairing, called the Suzuki GSF600S Bandit. The model was aimed at the European market, but the S-version was also supplied to North America.

The model was based on an in-line 4-cylinder air-oil-cooled engine with a volume of 599 cm³, producing up to 80 hp. power and up to 62 Nm of torque. The motor is revving, with maximum performance at 8500-9500 rpm and a limiter at 12000 rpm. This motor was not an independent development, but migrated from the sports tourist [[Suzuki_GSX600F_Katana | Suzuki GSX600F Katana]].
