The Honda SLR 650 was based on a 1-cylinder air-cooled engine from Honda NX650 Dominator, which received a different camshaft, due to which the maximum power decreased to 39 hp, but the torque characteristic in the zone low revs. The volume of the engine is 644 cm³.
