This motorcycle combines a high-tech four-stroke engine with a lightweight chassis for excellent maneuverability. Basically, this is an EXC 450 with a modified piston stroke to achieve a larger engine displacement.
Engine

Vibrations are also damped by a carefully optimized crank drive with sleeve bearings and a multifunctional balancer shaft. The transmission has 6 gears, reinforced gears and is equipped with a gear position sensor, traction control system. In 2020, transmission has received a new, larger C4 bearing, which will provide increased reliability under extreme loads. The sprocket is injection-molded with a highly elastic surface and increased reliability.
Clutch
The KTM EXC clutch (thanks to the Brembo hydraulic system and the DDS system) allows for fine metering of traction in difficult conditions, especially when driving in the hard-enduro class, the compactness of the DDS system allowed KTM engineers to install a damping system for additional reliability.
