Since 2007, the Kawasaki Versys 650 has been available in the European and Canadian markets, since 2008 in the US market (excluding California), and since 2009 in California.

- Kawasaki Versys 650 Tourer - has hand protection, tank protection and side trunks of 28 liters each with inner bags.
- Kawasaki Versys 650 Tourer Plus - Tourer version + LED fog lights and gearshift indicator.
- Kawasaki Versys 650 Grand Tourer - Tourer Plus version + 47L central case and built-in 12V socket.

The motor is tuned for consistent traction from low to medium revs and delivers maximum performance at 7000-8500 rpm.
The main features of the Kawasaki Versys 650 include a steel diagonal frame, an injection engine, adjustable suspensions in the form of an inverted fork (adjustable preload and rebound damping) and a monoshock (adjustable preload and rebound damping), 17-inch wheels, powerful 2-disc front brakes, availability versions with ABS, 19 l fuel tank (from 2015 - 21 l) and 181-209 kg dry matter.
