The model was based on a 1-cylinder 4-stroke air-cooled engine with a volume of 644 cc. see, issuing 44-46 hp. power and 56 Nm of torque. The maximum performance of the motor was reached at 5000-6000 rpm. Modifications to this engine have been installed on the Honda FMX 650, Honda XR 650, Honda SLR 650 and Honda FX 650 Vigor models.
Of the features of the Honda NX 650 Dominator, a steel frame, disc brakes, simple suspensions in the form of a conventional telescopic fork and a monoshock, dry sump (oil in the frame), 5-speed gearbox and 152 kg of dry weight should be distinguished.
