Suzuki GSR 600

The Suzuki GSR 600 was first introduced in 2005, and official sales began in 2006. The model was export oriented and sold in Europe and Australia. For the domestic Japanese market, a 400 cc modification was offered - Suzuki GSR 400.

Lineup:

The GSR 600 was based on a 4-cylinder in-line liquid-cooled engine with a volume of 599 cc, producing 98 hp. power and almost 65 Nm of torque. The motor did not become an independent development, but migrated from the sports version Suzuki GSX-R600 of 2005, having been derated and reconfigured to increase torque in the low and mid range.

On the chassis, the Suzuki GSR 600 is equipped with a cast aluminum frame, adjustable suspensions and powerful 4-piston front brakes (versions with ABS are available since 2007). A notable feature of the model is also the width of the rear tire 180 mm - as a rule, this size is typical for more cubic versions, but for marketing purposes Suzuki equipped the GSR600 with this size.

During the entire period of the model's release, there were practically no significant updates and restyling. Only in 2007 did versions with ABS appear, and since 2008, the exhaust pipes began to be painted black. There was also the GSR600S trim, which featured a small visor, radiator protection and carbon inserts.

2010 was the last year of production for the Suzuki GSR 600, after which it left the market, giving way to a new model - Suzuki GSR 750.
