Yamaha FZR 750 Genesis

The Yamaha FZR 750 Genesis was first introduced in 1987 and lasted until 1989. The appearance of the model was due to the desire of Yamaha to have on the sports motorcycle market an average, between 600 and 1000 cc version, a model with better (than 600) dynamics and less (than a "liter") weight and dimensions.

This is how the Yamaha FZR 750 with a Genesis engine was born, which became the progenitor of the penultimate model in the 750cc sports bike class - Yamaha YZF 750.

The main feature of the Yamaha FZR 750 is a liquid-cooled in-line 4-cylinder engine producing up to 106 hp. power and 72 Nm of torque for the FZR750 version; 121 h.p. / 70 Nm - on the FZR750R version. Domestic modifications of the FZR750 / FZR750R produced 77 hp.

Other key features of the model include an aluminum frame, 6-speed gearbox, fully adjustable suspensions, a conventional telescopic fork and an 18 "rear wheel.

The main modifications of the Yamaha FZR 750:

  • Yamaha FZR 750 Genesis - regular version.
  • Yamaha FZR 750 R Genesis - sports version. It features different headlights, plastic, a retuned engine (121 hp, 70 Nm), an exhaust system (with the Exup system), a thicker fork (43 mm) and a rear Öhlins mono-shock absorber, 4-piston front brakes, a 17 "rear wheel and a 23 l fuel tank (instead of 20 l).
