Kawasaki D-Tracker 150 appeared in 2013 as the successor to the Kawasaki D-Tracker 125. The updated version received a larger engine producing 12 hp. power and 11 Nm of torque, a carburetor instead of an injector, since 2016 - 17 'wheels, a new analog dashboard (instead of digital). Otherwise, it is still the same Kawasaki D-Tracker 125, intended mostly for the Asian market.

The chassis of the Kawasaki D-Tracker 150 is presented in the form of a steel perimeter frame, suspensions in the form of an inverted fork in the front and a mono-shock absorber with a progression at the rear, disc brakes and 17-inch (since 2016) wheels. The total curb weight of the motorcycle, compared to Kawasaki D-Tracker 125, has increased by 6 kg to 120 kg. In general, the Kawasaki D-Tracker 150 model is an inexpensive, economical small-cubic motorcycle aimed at novice pilots and designed for movement in urban conditions. The "older" brother of the model is Kawasaki D-Tracker 250.
