The Honda XR 125 was based on the air-cooled 1-cylinder 4-stroke engine used on the Honda CG125 motorcycle and producing a little over 11 hp. and 10 Nm. The motor has a simple design - 2 valves and one camshaft.
The chassis of the Honda XR125L is presented in the form of a conventional steel frame, simple suspensions (telescopic fork and monoshock), front disc and rear drum brakes.
2007 was the last year of production of the modification for the European market. Only in 2010, production was continued, and the modification appeared in the countries of South America. In the period from 2011 to 2012. the motorcycle was also sold in the Philippines, New Zealand and began to be actively sold in South Africa. The last year of production is 2018.
